LNER Class N7/3, 0-6-2 Passenger Tank | |||||||
PROTOTYPE. The N7 was originally a GER design. The LNER between 1923 and 1938 built 122 locomotives. The class was mainly used in East Anglia and on Kings Cross suburban work. Some locomotives also worked in Lincolnshire and Yorkshire. The class lasted until 1961. KIT. The main body components are etched in brass. All of the chassis and some of the heavier body components are in nickel silver. Provision is made for a sprung radial truck to help the locomotive round curves. Cab interior is nicely detailed. |
